Heading to the Toronto International Bike Show, March 2-4, 2012? Out to buy gear for the Bike Rally, but not sure what you should buy? Then join us for The Cyclist Shopping Guide.
Great deals are to be had at the show, but it's a jungle out there! Will a $200 helmet protect my head better than a $40 helmet? Should I spend more on bike shorts than a saddle? Will I want clipless pedals?
All of these questions and more at this primer on equipment and accessorizing. Includes what to carry when riding, what to wear for comfort and convenience, and what to expect cost-wise.
We'll cover the essential gear that you really should buy, as well as the little extras and upgrades that will make your riding a little easier.
Though not the focus of this session, for those who may be shopping for a bike, we'll also touch upon what kind of bike might best suit you and how to go about finding one.
Please note: An overview of and general look at cycling and camping equipment will take place at MEC Club Night, April 17, 2012, 7:30-9:00 pm, but this particular seminar is focused on cycling gear and is only being offered once. Space is limited so don’t wait to register.
