The Rally is over for another year but that's no reason why you have stop riding! We've scheduled some Saturday rides starting this week-end for those that wish to join us.
September 20, 9am: 45km (approx) Union Station
There's no map for this ride - we'll be following the path along the lakeshore to Kipling and back.

About the 10th Annual Friends For Life Bike Rally

On July 27, 2008, 500 courageous individuals will embark on an incredible journey. For six days, our riders will cycle over 600km from Toronto to Montreal with the support of a fabulous crew, and in doing so will raise thousands of dollars for men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS. The experience promises to have a profound impact on the lives of each and every participant.
The Friends For Life Bike Rally has been a huge success since it began nine years ago. It is the largest fundraiser for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and last year's gross of over $815,000 set a record.

New this year, we are asking all Participants to bring a plate, along with cutlery and a cup which have been standard for a couple of years now. While we appreciate the donation of plastic, re-usable plates from Rubbermaid, we have found many folks leave the plates behind, causing more work for PWA to transport and dispose of them. In effort to reduce the amount of plastic we end up disposing of, we are asking each Participant to bring his or her own plate this year. This plate, like your cutlery and cup, will be used for breakfast and supper each day. Washing stations will be set up by our fabulous Food Crew.
