The 2008 Steering Committee and the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation would like to thank everyone involved in the 10th Annual Friends For Life Bike Rally. What an incredible success – over 207,000 kilometres pedaled, over 10,000 bin lifts and OVER $1,175,000 RAISED!

We could not have accomplished this amazing feat without all of the hard-working folks out there raising money and constantly going the extra mile (no pun intended) to reach and surpass personal fundraising goals. We have also seen funds come in as a result of our appearance on City TVs Breakfast Television and the Proud FM coverage and, of course, all the print stories.

The 10th Annual will certainly go down in history as one of the best!

2. Feedback Survey and Call for Volunteers

We will be sending out an electronic survey to get your feedback on this year's Bike Rally sometime in the next few weeks. Please take a few minutes to fill it out – your input will help us to make important decisions that will affect the event in upcoming years. For some people, the work never stops and planning is already underway for the 2009 Friends For Life Bike Rally!

Speaking of which, we will also be scheduling a "call to action" meeting in the near future for volunteers who would like to become involved in the planning of next year's Bike Rally. As you know, there are many different committees that operate behind the scenes throughout the course of the year to do everything from setting up rider development seminars and updating the Rally website to recruiting crew and organizing training rides. Stay tuned for more details about this important meeting.

Do you wake up each morning since the Rally with an insatiable need to pack everything you own into large bins? Relive a unique Bike Rally experience by buying one, or more, of the large Rubbermaid Bins from the Rally for only $5! The bins are available at PWA during regular office hours.
