Staff Update
Murray Jose, Executive Director of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, has the following announcement:
It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the staff support recently hired for the 2008 Friends for Life Bike Rally. The team this year will be led by Jenni Willes, Bike Rally Coordinator with her peer Len Tooley, Bike Rally Assistant being full backup and partner. We also hope to have 2 summer students providing additional support. In addition, Pam Beavis, Director of Development & Communications will be fully involved supporting and monitoring the team and brining her senior event management experience to the table.
Jenni Willes joins us with exceptional education including a Graduate Certificate in Event Management and strong experience in Fundraising Event management. Len has extensive experience working within the HIV community and brings strong event management experience including a staff coordinating role for the Youth Pavilion at the 2006 International AIDS Conference.
Please join me in welcoming these two talented individuals to our team!

5. How To Save Your Butt
As you get used to being in the saddle for longer periods of time, it’s inevitable that you’ll experience some soreness where the sun don't shine. However, wearing a good-quality pair of cycling shorts, riding a suitable saddle and making sure your bike is fit properly can make the difference between tears of joy and pain. 7. Team “PWA Friends For Life” at the Pride & Remembrance Run
The most outrageous run of the year is just around the corner and you can be part of it. Join Team PWA Friends For Life by running or walking with us in the Pride and Remembrance Run on Saturday June 28. There is no fundraising required to participate with Team PWA Friends For Life.
This is an excellent way to meet and mingle with your Friends For Life colleagues from all 20 BR Teams. We’ll all be wearing our Bike Rally jerseys so there’s no way you’ll be able to miss us. And once the last person has crossed the Finish Line, we’ll be gathering at the After Party located at Jarvis Collegiate to watch the underwear fashion show.
Register on Team “PWA Friends For Life” today at www.priderun.org. We are looking for a Team Captain, so if you are interested, please contact Co-chair Stefanie McQuaid at
