We will be holding a "hands on" tire changing clinic on Tuesday, May 27th at the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto (MCCT). The church is located at 115 Simpson Ave (off Gerrard, one block east of Broadview). The clinic will give you the chance to learn how to fix a flat by actually doing it yourself. Experienced riders will be on hand to provide guidance. You will be required to bring your bike, or at least one of the wheels, to the seminar.
Riders will also be able to answer your general questions about basic bike maintenance, what equipment to purchase, cycling gear and what essentials you should carry with you on the training rides and on the Rally itself.

3. Team “PWA Friends For Life” at the Pride & Remembrance Run
The most outrageous run of the year is just around the corner and you can be part of it. Join Team PWA Friends For Life by running or walking with us in the Pride and Remembrance Run on Saturday June 28.
This is an excellent way to meet and mingle with your Friends For Life colleagues from all 20 BK Teams. We’ll all be wearing our Bike Rally jerseys so there’s no way you’ll be able to miss us. And once the last person has crossed the Finish Line, we’ll be gathering at the After Party located at Jarvis Collegiate to watch the underwear fashion show.
Register on Team “PWA Friends For Life” today at www.priderun.org. Contact Team Captain, Co-chair Stefanie McQuaid at

for more information. You don`t have to do any fundraising, but there is a registration fee. Let`s get everyone watching the run primed for our appearance in the Pride Parade the next day!
4. From the PWA Office – Pledge Cards
The PWA staff and volunteers are hard at work entering all the donations which have been dropped off. They are a bit behind, so please be patient! All donations will be entered as soon as possible.
When dropping off donations, please ensure that each donation is accompanied by a pledge card and that donations are placed in SEALED donation envelopes with their accompanying pledge cards. There have been some strays already and we want to make sure everyone’s totals are accurate. Making sure we properly fill out the information can go a long way to more efficient data entry!
5. Greening the Bike Rally
Over the years the organizers of the Bike Rally have taken various steps to try to reduce our environmental footprint as we pass along the route – re-usable plates, separating bottles and cans for recycling and use of industrial size bottles of water are just a few examples of these steps. This year, for the 10th Anniversary, the Steering Committee has decided to `turn up the green`. Watch for upcoming articles and tips and ways you can get involved to do your part to Green the Bike Rally.
Tip Number One: Return your used, smelly, nylon cycling gear to Mountain Equipment Co-op – they have a bin there and will dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
