1. First Training Ride on April 5th!
It’s hard to believe with the record snowfall amounts this month that training rides are less than two weeks away, but less that two weeks away they are! Saturday, April 5th at 8:40 PM if you want to be precise. Training rides are a crucial physical and social component of your Bike Rally experience. Please make sure you visit the Training Ride Info page at www.bikerally.org to download and print your map(s) and make sure you have everything you need for your ride. While some road support is available on some training rides, the best person to rely upon for your safety and well-being is you!
See you out on the road!

3. Couples’ Fundraising – The Q&A
This question recently came up – and since there seem to be more and more couples doing the ride together, we figured this would be worthy of posting.
My girlfriend and I are both doing the bike rally and we are facing the challenge of asking the same people for donations. Can we combine our funds? Is there an option that we can combine our fundraising pages? As it stands right now we are have been asking our friends and they are donating to one or the other but we're worried at the end of it, one of us might have $2600 and the other person might have $1800. Can you advise?
Sure can – and the answer is:
What you need to do first and foremost - is raise $3000 each then you won't have to worry! Okay - that's just the fundraiser in me coming out…
What you'll need to do at first is to monitor your pledge pages fairly closely - and direct your donors to whoever needs the pledges more. At first this won't matter much - but as you get closer to your totals you may want to help with the direction of the donations.
You still need to register as separate individuals, and maintain separate profiles on the Fundraising Pledge Pages. Perhaps some “friendly” rivalry might be fun – see who reaches their goal first! As we get closer to the deadlines, we can then move the pledges, if needed, en masse at one time. This will help cut down on the administration end of things.
Once you have been assigned your Team Leaders, they will be able to help you with these and others questions too.
4. Special Offer – Spin Classes for Bike Rally Participants
