2011 Registration online is open!
Register as a Rider
It was an absolutely amazing experience. I started out doing the ride for the personal challenge. I had been told that it would become more than that, but didn't really believe it. After meeting the people on the ride, learning more about PWA and then meeting some of the people who need those services, the ride became something that I was proud to be a part of. The physical challenge, the people that I met along the way and knowing how much of a difference it really does make, made this one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.

Show your courage, build your confidence and push your muscles in six days that you'll never forget! The Bike Rally is not a race - you don't need to have an expensive bike or be a professional cyclist to participate. You just need the commitment to train, to fundraise and to learn how to ride safely.
As part of the experience, each rider must raise a minimum of $2,200 to sponsor their trip. This will allow us to cover expenses for each and every participant while still raising significant funds for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. You will be supported in every aspect of the challenge from the physical training to the fundraising. So sign up for an experience that you will remember for a lifetime!
The 13th annual Friends for Life Bike Rally will be held from Sunday July 24th to Friday July 29th, 2011.
Registration can be done:
- in person at the launch party in February for $70;
- online for $75 (or $70 if you register before the launch party!);
- paper: print and complete the 2011 Rider Registration (and bring it to the launch party or PWA offices);
- in person at the PWA offices by contacting This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
The registration fee does NOT count toward your minimum $2,200 pledge total. It helps to cover your processing fee and registration kit. You will not receive a charitable donation receipt for your registration fee.
After completing the online registration, you will be sent a registration kit in the mail to help get you started. Your kit also includes printed pledge cards, pledge envelopes, Bike Rally postcards, posters and many more useful items. If you do not wish to receive a registration package please email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Register as Crew
It was amazing. I was tired at times and didn't feel like cheering, but I carried on with great support from my van partner. The last night at the campfire sharing was very touching. I clearly thought of the people I've known who have died of AIDS and a friend now who is partnered with someone who is HIV+, yet very healthy. I came out of the Rally with a new friend as well...
Guy C. 1st year Crew (Road Safety) 2006
In a word - teamwork. That's what it takes to get hundreds of participants from Toronto to Montreal in under six days. Our crew of volunteers are integral to the success of the Bike Rally and are the main reason we have so much fun along the way!
There are four main areas that make up the crew for the Bike Rally: Food, Wellness, Rubbermaid Rustlers and Road Safety. We'll interview you and provide the training and placement to ensure that your contribution to the team is both rewarding and highly valued. Whether you have a special skill or would like to learn a new one, we have just the place for you on our crew! Find more detailed information about participating as a Crew Member in the Volunteer section.
Limited Crew positions are available. If you are interested in Crewing, please email the Special Events Coordinator to find out how to become involved. There is an application process that must happen before you are registered.
Registration is $20 for Crew members.
Once you have obtained permission from the Special Events Coordinator to register as crew for the Bike Rally, please proceed to the Online Registration (or complete the 2011 Crew Registration and bring it to the PWA offices);
