General Info

As the second-largest fundraiser benefiting an HIV/AIDS organization in Canada, the Toronto-Montreal Friends for Life Bike Rally is a national story.

We are a community of ordinary people doing something extraordinary in support of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation (PWA). Since its inception in 1999, the Bike Rally has raised over $5 million for PWA.

As seen last year on City TV, CFTO News, CBC and Global Television, as well as on radio stations and in newspapers across Ontario, our colourful and energetic group of riders and support crew make a resounding splash wherever they go.  In the process, they raise big awareness and big money to support people living with HIV and AIDS in Toronto.

The Bike Rally’s participants can help you tell your story from a new angle.  Our participants include riders who haven’t been on a bike in years, a community of bloggers (including a blogging grandmother), competitive athletes, and students.  They come from all sexual orientations and ethnic backgrounds.  Many among the rally are facing the challenges of life with HIV/AIDS – some have chosen to participate as a cyclist in the Bike Rally to challenge themselves or in memory of a loved one.
